Synopsis:
On the surface Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun appears to be a story about a disabled man. However, it is also a story about people finding the nerve to take responsibility, and about persevering against the odds. And finally, it is a story about relationships born out of hardship.

Holly is pregnant with Simon's child, but Simon, who is a reluctant father and not quite a divorcee, leaves town, although he claims love for her. Holly meets Robert at the bus stop on the first day of her new job. They become friends and he eventually invites her to dinner with him and his mom. Claire is ill and trying to figure out who will look after Robert when she dies. She sees an opportunity in Holly and nurtures this prospect.
