Local club member Mel Stewart was the resource person at our first retreat designed to introduce people to directing. We began Friday evening with some improvisation, snacks and lots of campfire singing. Saturday morning began with breakfast and a look at some of the skills and disciplines of directing. Two short one act scripts were examined. After lunch first-time directors tried their hand at directing the two plays. The event ended with supper.
