The Agricultural Centre
of British Columbia!

The Nechako agricultural region is located at the geographic centre of the Province of British Columbia. It lies within the fertile Nechako River Valley and encompasses approximately 8.5 million acres, classified as Sub-division 'A' within the Bulkley-Nechako Regional District. Deeded agricultural lands represent 3.5% (295,554 acres) of the sub-division land base.

The main industries are Forestry, Agriculture, Mining and Tourism each of which generate a network of integrated supply and service enterprise, with some related value added processing or manufacturing.

Developed by the Nechako Valley Regional Cattlemen's Association, the purpose of this website is to acquaint viewers with the Nechako Region and it's agriculture. The statistical data and general information provided in this Web site is specifically directed to sub-division "A" classified as the Nechako Region.
